How do you sell or buy silver or gold bars…10 or 50 ounces?

You can buy physical gold & silver bars. Some places will actually store them for you for a monthly fee, or you can take phyiscal delivery.

Try http://www.kitco.com or Everbank at http://www.everbank.com or one of the refiners like Johnson Matthey or Northwest Territorial Mint. Do a websearch for suppliers.

Also, buy bars, not coins. Coins sell at a higher premium than bars do. Also, I would stick with 1 oz. bars because they are easier to sell. Plus, if you needed to cash out a few bars, it would be easier to sell say 5 bars to raise the cash you need rather than sell a 10 oz. bar and have to repurchase 5 ounces to make up for the depleted inventory. In other words, if you needed cash and the amount of cash you need is equal to say 5 ounces, it’s easier to sell 5 - 1 ounce bars than to sell 1 - 10 oz bar and have more cash then you need or to then repurchase another 5 ounces to make up for the 5 oz. overage you had to sell to raise cash.
